Alex Stepheson will transfer in order to be closer to his family in California due to several health concerns, according to a University athletic department press release.
"My family is dealing with some health challenges at this time and as a result I have made the decision to transfer to be closer to home," Stepheson is quoted in the release.

Mount Holly police are investigating the death of a UNC Charlotte student today. The body of 20-yr-old Irina Yarmolenko was found Monday afternoon in the North Carolina town, lying a few feet from her car.
